In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and creating a space where you feel heard and understood. I’ll ask about your background, what’s working well for you, and where you’d like to see some changes. From there, we’ll talk about how therapy can help you move toward the changes you want to see.

Ivy Path Counseling PLLC is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA.
If you have a different insurance, I’m considered an out-of-network (OON) provider. Many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health counseling.
If you'd like to check your OON benefits, I can provide a worksheet of questions to guide your conversation with your insurance company.
Upon request, I’ll provide you with a monthly “superbill” (itemized receipt) to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining the cost of your medical care.
For individuals who are uninsured or not using insurance, healthcare providers are required to provide an estimate of the bill for non-emergency services, including psychotherapy. If this applies to you, I’ll provide you with a GFE outlining the expected cost of therapy.
You can request a GFE from me or any other provider before scheduling a service, or at any time during treatment. Make sure to save a copy or photo of your GFE. If your bill exceeds the estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute it.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
